A Simple Reflective Practice for Everyday fears and worry

Simple practice for everyday fears and worry: practical questions, art-based reflection, and Enzology meditation and hypnosis session options.

A person may want support with a specific worry without wanting to retell every personal experience. Initial discussion helps clarify whether non-medical hypnosis or meditation fits the goal, or whether a different form of care is more appropriate.

Try a short, manageable experiment

Choose a quiet moment and a comfortable setting. This is an optional reflection exercise, not a test or a substitute for individualized care. Keep it brief enough to repeat, and stop if the experience feels uncomfortable. There is no requirement to produce a particular feeling.

Choose an ordinary, manageable situation rather than your most distressing fear. Identify a practical preparation step and a way to pause if you need to.

Before and after the exercise

Before beginning, notice where you are and whether you have enough privacy. Set a small intention and give yourself permission to finish early. Afterwards, return to the room and write one sentence about what you observed, without deciding that the practice must have changed something.

Notice your ability to choose a response. Do not use a self-guided exercise to force yourself into a distressing situation.

If attention wanders

Wandering attention is something to notice. You can return to the exercise, shorten it, or leave it for another day. Avoid turning a brief experiment into another obligation. A guided session can help you discuss what made the practice comfortable or difficult.
